Budgeting for Christmas gifts

I'm curious how this community budgets for Christmas gifts? If you lump sum it, how do you make sure you spend the right amount on everyone?

I treat Christmas like I treat birthdays. Have a Christmas category and each person gets a goal. Also budget for unexpected expenses like extra food, wrapping papers, etc. Once I spend the money, I put it under gifts with #Christmas #Person so I can have a clean report, but can drill down with a seach if I need to. Here is my breakdown.

Discretionary
- Gifts
Christmass
- Spouse
- Kiddo
- Fido
- Cooked goose for everyone
- Misc. Make the Magic
- We forgot Kevin!
