This just about sums up the entirety of the American government. It feels like every policy decision made to “improve” our lives has some sorta catch that’ll inevitably only improve the lives of the wealthiest people in this country (who just so happen to also run it), and everything else is just a net negative all the time. No change can happen under the current system.
