nothing to see here

Another $1200 to vaccine development companies, Fidelity and make it snappy.

What's $1.2k supposed to do for such an enormous project? Also, the sentence is a bit odd, so I'm curious if I'm missing something?

I think he's implying he's going to invest another 1.2k in the stock market, in vaccine dev companies / ETFs / etc. I could be wrong...

Nothing, but it will do wonders for my portfolio. Take the good with the bad.

There is however 80%+ antibiotic resistance with these kids when it comes to one of the drugs used to treat this sort of thing. The concept isn't new but I haven't heard much about it relatively recently, but it sure hasn't gone anywhere

eh, is the WHO still a trustworthy organization?

stephan262@lemmy.world · 19 pts · 2y

The WHO are just relaying information from the Chinese government. So I wouldn't trust it.

Yes? Why would the WHO be less trustworthy than similar groups/agencies?

brihuang95@sopuli.xyz · 0 pts · 2y (1 reply)

i just remember their credibility dipping during the whole COVID fiasco

Fades@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 2y

How, exactly?

Maybe you should vet these sorts of things before putting out misinformation. You asked is it still a trustworthy org, yet you just seem to remember hearing negative vibes during COVID? That's enough for you to say the whole org is not worthy of trust??
