Greater imperfection and greatest thing. We want more, we get better, we make stuff, but at some point we end up being damaged by our ambition.

My dad’s workout philosophy that he tried to pass on to me was “do as many as you can, then one more” and I only recently realized this is his entire worldview.

On an unrelated note he’s a devout libertarian capitalist.

Overambition isn't the root of the issue.

People should strive to be doctors, lawyers, astronauts, scientists, engineers, etc.

Greed, lack of self-control, and a lack of empathy prevent people from knowing when to stop.
