Oh man! You should read his book. It's really funny, and really entertaining. Or at least it was in the 90's. We've changed a lot as a society since then, so it could be wildly offensive for all I know. I just remember laughing my ass off while reading it, and making a bunch of mental notes about how to become successful.
Shit Tim Allen's done/said? He was a coke smuggler who rated out his friends, Said being a republican in Hollywood is like "Being a Jew in Hitlers Germany" had a weird angry outburst on some girl about evolution and that's the stuff off the top of my head.
I'm sorry, but if it is life in prison or giving up the names of your dealers (not necessarily friends), I don't think many of us would've chosen differently.
The statement about republicans in Hollywood is way over the line though. I scanned through his wiki page and it says that he condemned the Jan 6th attacks and was generally not impressed with how different republicans behave - so it seems there is at least some light.
I skimmed that page and couldn't see anything that really sealed him as a dick... Republican sure (bit wanky but there's plenty of them) and done time for drug trafficking (morally who really cares).

I recently saw an ad for another installment in the awful franchise that is The Santa Clause.
I'm amazed people still watch Tim Allen let alone that many sequels into a well overdone concept.
