So, I was running an RPG and had a race of dragon people who had an isolationist culture. I thought it would be funny to have the dragon prince be a "reverse furry"; totally engrossed in human culture, that sort of thing.
The players met him and, long story short, that's the first and only time I had to "fade to black" as a GM.
