There's a comma between evil and showering so technically they're saying generic evil and regular showering.

Yeah, and since regular showering is part of the list of evil activities, it would imply showering is evil.

but the list explicitly states the actions are evil, implying that they are the evil version of an action that is normally not evil. i think that implies that showering by itself is not evil

It's the other way around. For the other chores, he has to state that he's doing evil versions. For showering it doesn't have to be stated, since showering by itself is evil.
