I just tried out thunder after using Jerboa for a while and I like the interface, but for the life of me I cannot find how to submit posts?????
What other apps are people using?

Wow! This looks good!
But I'm getting All content when I try and view a single community... And it doesn't let me remove the empty Lemmy world account? :(.
Whoops, figured it out ! Long click!

Man I'm so lost in navigating lemmy. I feel like such a boomer.

Keep at it! You will get it! There's a getting started guide in the sidebar that you should read if not already. :)

I was too!! This write up really helped me learn the navigation amongst instances. Hope this helps you too! https://join-lemmy.org/docs/administration/federation_getting_started.html#:~:text=One%20way%20you%20can%20take,search%20of%20your%20own%20instance

I personally like the default web UI so far, been using that on both desktop and mobile, I like the performance of it, it's not a huge website like reddit.
I did try Jerboa but I don't use my phone often so I might have to look again in terms of how it feels.

I'm loving wefwef.app
I replaced my RiF icon on the home page of my phone and I've never looked back.
reddthat@reddthat.com · 2 pts · 3y
wefwef is certainly nice on a phone! On a browser though... looks are certainly undesirable

I'm using Connect which seems fine but tends to log me out often.
reddthat@reddthat.com · 3 pts · 3y
Oh no! It must not do auth properly, I don't think any of the apps I've tried log me out.
Even when tiff restarts the services. Login tokens survive across reboots I'm very sure because I've logged in only once! 😜

I used Jerboa for a bit but I've honestly found the mobile site to be better right now. I'm waiting for a big dog (like one of the third party reddit devs) to release one

Yeah, I really want a someone to add some good themes or some different UI options (that don't just act as proxies)

Isn't there a + button on the bottom right corner in Jerboa for submitting posts?
reddthat@reddthat.com · 2 pts · 3y
Yeah Jerboa can submit fine. It's Thunder I cannot figure out where to submit content.

I think liftoff for me agree I tweaked the settings out looks really good and it seems to have the broadest number of features

Currently trying out Jerboa (android) myself - I'm not sure if server responses prevent it from being as snappy as it could be - but I don't by hate it.
reddthat@reddthat.com · 1 pts · 3y
I think that is just Jerboa. I just tried Liftoff and i find it a lot snappier compared.

I’ve tried out Mlem and Memmy and both are pretty good. Memmy is a bit more responsive so I’d give that one the edge.
Maheswara@reddthat.com · 1 pts · 3y
#Jerboa & #Liftoff both are good.. #wefwef is also good...
deadcatbounce@reddthat.com · 1 pts · 3y
Liftoff (androidapp://com.liftoffapp.liftoff on F-Droid) is the only one that currently works for me logging in. The reference app Jerboa currentlty crashes on startup. I have lemmur loaded too but could not specify an instance it liked.
Flathub has nothing even partially usable: lemonade and limos. Limoa has some controls though.

web app similar to Apollo, it’s called WefWef
facetiousfag@reddthat.com · 1 pts · 3y
I need a native app, just downloaded Mlem. It seems ok.
vravl@reddthat.com · 1 pts · 3y
I'm also trying out Wefwef, when added to the homescreen it functions almost as a native app.
CthuluVoIP@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 3y
Memmy has so far offered the best experience in comparison to Apollo with some enhancements that aren’t present (yet) in wefwef.app
Liftoff was nice but I didn’t care for the feel of it, Mlem is pretty solid overall, and when I tried Thunder I couldn’t get logged in.
I think I’m going to stick with Memmy unless Christian announces he’s porting Apollo.
