If the US won't protect children from gun violence, should I protect mine by leaving?

Yes

I couldn't say that's the only reason, but gun violence is certain a reason that my wife and I started exploring paths out of the United States. It really is a shame too, because in a whole host of ways, life in America is unquestionably better for us.

I already left. Hoping some of my extended family joins me in the next decade.
