This is “brave” until it goes wrong. Then it's "stupid". The border is narrow.

Extremely brave girl. That's the most dangerous animal on the planet and the gator's just letting it ride her.

I dunno, could you imagine her hopping onto a hippo like that?

I'm going to assume she knows more about gator behavior than us, but putting her hand near the side kinda sets 'em off.

And it is a gator, not nearly as violent as a croc. OTOH, even though their behavior is well understood, those dumbasses can still be unpredictable.

Alligatora, unlike crocodiles are a lot less likely to kill humans. But the few they do kill do stupid shit like this.

Like, I'm sure she knows this animal/grew up with it or something, but it's still a predator

So are dogs and cats. Everybody knows that floridians have domesticated every gator in their state and that it is perfectly safe to mess with them.

Brave or foolish?

Often the difference is only whether you walk away with all your fingers.

Brave is being afraid but doing it anyway.

Stupid is not being afraid.
