Maybe possibly several years from now after he makes Rendezvous with Rama. A third movie isn’t even in development yet. This is some mild click-bait “reporting” here.

This makes a lot of sense. Though I'm wondering if the upcoming second movie will follow in some of the start of Messiah.

I think they were hoping to make it a trilogy, if the first movie did well.
