[PATCH] There is a fix for 13.23/13.24 out!

Edit 2: Please swap to the more stable Release Version wine-ge-lol-8-27 from GE

Edit 3: STAY AWAY FROM wine-staging-lol, PEOPLE ARE GETTING PERMABANNED WITH THIS!"

( wine-ge-lol-8-27 and wine-9-0-rc1 are confirmed safe.)

  • Still RC, so if it doesn't work, please report it there
  • Supposed to be applicable to all distros and install methods (Lutris, script,...)
  • Some report issues, most say it's working fine.

Sameeeee, got my champ banned by my adc "play a real support" and got insulted first game I queued. I guess this is home

Just when I start to forget about league of legends this update comes through. I'm glad the issue was fixed.

After adding the new wine version the launcher was a black screen. Turning off desktop effects seemed to fix this for me and now its all working great.

This wine version isn't working for me. I get an error window "Could not Initialize Graphics Device" when i try to enter a custom game.

There is nothing wrong with using the RC version, it's just less optimised.

How is this version different from the one GE release just a few hours ago?

I am talking about this one here.

Seems like the GE version is still based on Wine/Proton 8? Maybe someone could test the GE version aswell and see how it compares.

You should use the GE build you mentioned, but note that there is a new version 8-27 which you should use.
