Competitive scene on Lemmy

I just arrived here and was wondering if there is a space to talk about competitive pokemon similar to what r/stunfisk is?

I'm not super familiar with competitive Pokemon, so I can't give any suggestions for that, but I will say that most of my more "niche" interests either have a 3-5 subscriber community with no activity or no community at all.

But that's a great opportunity to fire up a community yourself to get things kicked off.

VGC player checking in here, interested in a VGC community but singles is not my jam.

I guess splitting a niche into even smaller pieces would be a bad idea for now, so I would suggest having one combined competitive channel to begin with. Any name suggestions? Should we go with a similar approach as stunfisk and just name it Girafarig/heatmor/whatever or give it a more expressive name like CompetitivePokemon?

What Pokémon best represents federalised networks? Metagross? Klingklang? Wishiwashi school forme? I kinda like the last one.

I like Wishiwashi as well. Magneton as one of the OGs would come to mind or dugtrio. Maushold would also work, and even be decently close to a lemming.

FYI I found a PokemonVCG community here with 8 members, so maybe you should just join that one until there is something big

Pokemon Academy's mascot should be wishiwashi
