What I mean is that this seems very overhyped, look at Boston Dynamics robots like Spot or the one that jumped around a small area throwing a bag to a worker on a platform.
Neither of those are humanoid, and they seem to perform far better than the Teslabot...
I would be very surprised if that was actually the reason. human similar bots have been shown to be much worse than single purpose bots for decades now and tesla already uses tons of bots in its manufacturing.
