China is a state controlled ultracapitalist authoritarian nation. It is the wet dream of every American megacorp, in which the State and Corporation is one and the same. It is everything but socialist.
This survey was conducted by YouGov using a nationally representative sample of 1,347 U.S. adult citizens interviewed online between December 3 – 4, 2019.
No kidding. That is wild. It’s all scary, but one really stood out to me: there is a question on whether respondents thought that healthcare provided by the government and paid for by the government is (a) socialist, (b)not socialist, or (c) I don’t know. The percentage of respondents that said “not socialist” and “I don’t know” is baffling. Although, I guess I can take some solace in a large number of people being self aware enough to pick “I don’t know.”
Cuba is basically a tiny speck that remained from the past. Even I got surprised when I found out that the Cold War is still technically active thanks to cuba

Depends. Americans are not taught what actual socialism is, by design.

The actual graph is more nuanced.
Which countries do Americans think are socialist?

Yeah. If you actually know the definition of socialism, most of the questions don’t make sense.
