Where would one find literature about such things if someone were to try that route?

In the old days it meant drinking pregnant mare urine

Context for a young transfem?

In the early 20th century, they used to extract CEEs from pregnant mare urine for HRT. And now we have all the cool modern stuff. Here is a Wikipedia article to get started. I also recommend researching ancient transgender history for more info since it is really interesting.

I've heard it's relatively easy to cook injectable E, or even gel (at concentrations useful for trans people) 👀

Its pretty unsafe though honestly, you can't really reach safe without a proper pharma lab

alx@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 1 pts · 3y (3 replies)

of course. But, if you have the ressources for a small proper lab, it can be easy

I'm sorta in this field and I can say honestly no, at worst you'll create a bad name for the trans community looking like a meth lab, and at best you got no idea what chemicals you're making much less their affect on the body, so you'll 99% chance poison the hell out of yourself (like 100% of chemicals do at the wrong dose)

I do wonder about a world where HRT is banned.

I've got a bit of doomsday prepper on my father's side. Should I be looking into starting a licorice farm?

I would worry more about a world where the economy/society has collapsed and HRT doesn't exist (or is very scarce)
