Was in Chicago for work and managed this 22-23ā pike on my medium light travel rod. Was hoping for sheepshead but found this one instead. Made up for so few bites. Probably also indicates I was on the wrong lure in the wrong environment.
Posting as Iām hoping this fishing community can build over time.

Nice fish! What depth were you spinning and what time of day? I've had a few jacks but never when they're supposed to be feeding!

Caught a 22ā earlier this year and this definitely had more heft. Eating fat off the docks I guess.

I caught a 45" tiger muskie when I was young, probably 12. I'd love to catch a fish like that again
