Poor little capitalism and helpless billionaires are being suppressed by the all mighty socialism and the overwhelming might of the workforce!

...Is what I wish I could claim. I mean can you imagine? One can dream.

I don't recall mentioning perfect spheres anywhere and any 10 year old phone can easily display a simple, interactive globe no problem. We're not talking about Google earth here. Just a map projected on an actual earth shaped object. You don't need shaders or anything. Hell you don't even need a single vertex. You could create it mathematically.

Free men propagandists don't want you to think about war crimes the Ents committed by breaking the dam.

If only there was more senators could do than warn. And yes I'm aware those who actively work on a ban on prediction markets are probably the ones doing the warning but still. There shouldn't be a headline about prediction markets incentivizing arson but about it being banned. It shouldn't have come to this in the first place, right?

You can't have training data for it I guess? But then the model maker would have to break the law to even make it of course so you can't even use that model without some laws being broken down the line. Then again virtually all models should be illegal because of that. I feel like there is a lot of legislation to be done here because the whole industry is rotten to the core.

The region is known as the water tower of Asia and the Chinese government think they can contain it with dams to gain control of the water supply to Nepal and other countries. It can never work. Not in this geographically active region.

Sadly it seems the death toll is climbing into the hundreds. Nepal authorities are reporting hundreds are missing. Most of them will likely never be found.

Chinese media on the Tibetan side are speaking of 3 dead. Three.

Watched this the other day and felt spoken to because I just had that kind of conversation with someone. I argued the internet was a much better place over 10 years ago when not everything revolved around money. Of course I mentioned FOSS and federalized platforms as a way out of this mess. Their reactions were mixed. Some (perhaps even most) people just do not understand the point of the internet other than monetization or AI 'agents' anymore.

But yeah, it's a good watch as usual for Solar Sands.
