I don't recall mentioning perfect spheres anywhere and any 10 year old phone can easily display a simple, interactive globe no problem. We're not talking about Google earth here. Just a map projected on an actual earth shaped object. You don't need shaders or anything. Hell you don't even need a single vertex. You could create it mathematically.
That's actually a pretty cool map, however I really don't like how the focal point is on an empty blue mass, making it rather impractical. It's also rather disorienting on the southern side. I don't think this should be adopted at all. Cool nonetheless.

People paying for premium really just encourages Youtube to be even more greedy. The only way I'm paying for content on Youtube is donating money to creators directly because the platform is robbing them. I care about that and if you think that's weird then I really don't care.

Their reactions were mixed. Some (perhaps even most) people just do not understand the point of the internet other than monetization or AI 'agents' anymore.
