There's apparently been five previous failed attempts to bring SNL style shows to the UK, so my knee-jerk reaction to them taking another swing at it with SNL branding, is "meh."
The lies aren't even consistent either. If the US & Israel have blown up all of Iran's missile launchers like they claim, then how would these hypothetical (and likely imaginary) missiles actually be fired at Europe?!
I think it'll keep on running most of the world's servers and embedded devices.
People who think desktop Linux is dead because of spicy OS level age declaration laws that only apply in Brazil and a fraction of the US clearly weren't around when SCO was trying to sue Linux into oblivion and it shows.
As someone who bought a Murena FairPhone 5 with /e/OS preinstalled because I had the option to pay a reasonable price for a decent phone that isn't Google branded, and have been enjoying the experience with it for a while now, I don't think I'm going to fall for that very obvious rage bait that's been copy-pasted from an aggressive forum post.
I'll give GrapheneOS my attention when it works on more than one phone. I hear Motorola is building a second phone for it to be compatible with.
It frustrates me that we may have to wait until the 2040s to reverse this mistake. Unless CPTPP picks up a huge new member to make that worthwhile, the next decade or so is going to be painful.
I've pretty much done that with my allergies, because apparently I have to get a GP referral before anyone will let me safely test which ones I have & their severity. So I use over-the-counter antihistamines, a lot of off-brand Kleenex & an air purifier, and I live in hope that a bystander will have an epipen if I ever have a really bad reaction.
It feels a bit like the English establishment media is drunk at the moment. The public seems to be on board with Andrew getting what's coming to him, and I suspect this hasn't really moved the dial on abolishing the monarchy for anyone that didn't already want to abolish the monarchy before the Epstein files were released. tbh they're on the FairPhone 6 now, so it might be worth taking another look if you're approaching time to upgrade. :)
