Not as harsh as OP on the deck, but it definitely has more issues than those two. However, I'd say most of the problems are caused by Steam's Big Picture Mode.

I still love my deck its convenient and powerful, but I hate the broken keyboard, borked store navigation & terrible library function, incompatibility with my PC (mindlessly turning one game on during the other system's play will sign me out of the former system, understandableish but frustrating), getting flashbanged by desktop mode because the brightness will reset to ~65% >o< Not had much screen scaling issues, although wifi does get weak a couple rooms away.

The great casual controls, mini pc, and quick lazy game access makes it tolerable but these issues have been reported for years in some cases and Valve has not fixed them. The Steam Deck is phenomenal but not without faults. Large amount? Perhaps not, but they are ever present depending on your use case.

Am I misremembering, or did yahoo also have a video section with classic cartoons?

One of these sites had the old Mario and Zelda cartoons, that was such a rad find.

It's not dialogue for quests (although they probably were generated with AI), it's stationary NPCs irrelevant to the quests that are in the world. Not all NPCs have an AI bot. You can 'befriend' the bots by giving them the right keywords and they'll hardly budge otherwise.

Example and... minor spoilers?: Lie Buxie told me her brothers went to some ruins. I cleared it out and helped the brothers. I glazed over what they said and returned to Lie (who was unrelated to the quest, you clear it by solving a puzzle and clearing a tomb/mini-dungeon then the brothers fuck off). I then had to convince her that her brothers have left by relaying the information I got from the quest. Which was hard because I was glazing over the brothers' dialogue; Boring quest.

AI bots are like a pop-quiz related to the nearby environment or game information, then they send you gifts after they become your friends and you can chat with them whenever with shit retention. They're really stubborn and don't like to RP, but they'll respond positively if you show them 4K phone footage etc so at least that's funny.

It's big dookie and feels like a way to incorporate a.. 'more natural 🤢 🤮 ' feed of lore. If it wasn't hallucinating it. It didn't really add anything positive to my experience other than a laugh and I remember thinking I'd rather have a boring text dialogue to spam through.

I chased the specs but of course I only play indie games and don't even bother with AAA they're rarely worth it imo... With my VR headset unplayably decaying and (ironically) valve not fixing it, I often wonder why I still have this heavy lunk of metal.

I often wish I had the Steamdeck instead so I could kick back and mold into my bed forever, or bring it to quirky spots of the world like you have.

Very envious, it sounds incredible! You're living the gaming dream - freedom~

I go to my local nature sanctuary. There's a tiny lake with a nicely shaded moss-covered rock but it gets just the right amount of sun for an hour, around 1pm in summer. Perfect for napping.

Best with a bit of wind for leaf ambience and sometimes the ducks are hanging out too. Very peaceful. :)

Alway! But mayhaps the revolving door retention style was actually a ploy to efficiently harvest soul energy for some unseen plot?

I barely managed to protect mine own. Beware!!

This reminds me of some work drama...

My coworker was cursed by our bwitch of an 'assistant manager' for turning her down, and the next day his mom had hot oil splash up her whole arm and it looked bad.

Not supersticious but he was and he was terrified. It was horrible to watch.

Leta has been nice so far aside from the blue flashbang I'm never prepared for. I pray for darkmode.

Swapped from DDGo after frustrations with the LLM in my searches. The article-bloat is gone too. Very nice.

Especially since the shia labeouf flag incident, no location posted online is safe

Back to LoFi girl, you can also see her appartment or reverse view from the Synthwave Radio stream and vice versa at night. Its pretty cool :)
