I have a raspberry pi connected to a touchscreen I use for home automation, it's a nice little home IT project, I don't really spend a lot of time on it. It's a hobby and something to walkthrough/demo/make available for the kids to hack on.
I wanted to tighten up the install, get automatic updates running, get it in full kiosk mode and add a couple features. Nice little Saturday project, figured it take a couple hours on the outside, hardest part would be mapping the touchscreen again.
Claude did it for me in 20 minutes. So I got to spend an hour and a half thinking of features I wanted to include, pretty great for me! Pretty great for IT! Need doesn't enter into it.
It takes a little over 10 years to recognize that a game (or anything really) was revolutionary. You have to wait until all of the chaff has been forgotten, leaving only the revolutionary games behind.
Here are some of my top picks for what folks will look back on when they right the 2025-2035 had no good games version of your post.
Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.
Vampire survivors.
Hades.
Elden Ring.
Disco Elysium.
And one which will probably be a cult classic/sleeper hit:
Return of the Obra Dinn.
I spent a couple days on and off reading about this theory, I read a few papers in the field and some of Penrose's work (I didn't go grab his books). So, thanks. It was interesting. I have had some physicists mention to me in passing that quantum consciousness was a junk field, but I hadn't looked into it.

Penrose himself attempts to dodge this in the first paragraph, but why are we groping for a special theory of consciousness at all?
Quantum mechanics is in everything, without it, fundamental processes (like light passing through your window) can not adequately be explained. Just because something has 'got a quantum' or whatever doesn't instantly make it special from a physical perspective (you don't see scientists tossing out conversation of energy or causality because stuff's 'got a quantum' or whatever).
You might be interested in some of the recent work demonstrating that anesthetics work on plants. Not a microtubule in sight.
Tolkien probably would have agreed with you, he talks a lot about this in his letters and this debate is so notable (and central to a lot of modern fantasy) that it, apparently, qualifies for it's own Wikipedia Page.
