Something I struggle understanding is that it’s apparently quite “normal” to boo during an opera. Apparently it’s common to boo at a villain even when you enjoy the performance. It just seems rude to me.

Also using grammatically correct bravo, brava, and bravi just comes off overly pretentious in non-Italian countries in performances done by non-Italians.

Just another way to shove client side scanning down our throats. I hope apple and/or google calls them on their shit. There’s no way to reliably do this at this scale anyway. Laws can be challenged and the process could take years.

If they actually cared about children’s safety they could start with making sure everyone has enough to eat.

I’ll sink my teeth into this tomorrow. Good te hear the combat is nice. Grander space battles are a great addition in theory. New suit looks good too. Last update wasn’t really for me, but who’s complaining.

Having your own domain is key to owning your digital identity. I migrated from google to proton seamlessly and I can migrate away if (or when) Proton turns to shit. 80% of mailboxes are owned by ether Google, Yahoo, or Microsoft. We know they can’t be trusted with that much power.

You need bacteria in your gut to produce vitamin K, this takes a while. You can administer vitamin K orally and everything will usually be fine. The issue arises in rare cases where the bile duct hasn’t developed properly. There are other signs but one of them is vitamin K not absorbing properly since it’s fat soluble and you need bile to absorb fat. Administering vitamin K as a shot circumvents the gut and prevents children with these rare conditions from bleeding to death before the issue is detected.

Somebody on twitter “reverse engineered” the exploit. Apparently ms shipped debug code in production. At least it’s not called Backdoor_FBI outright.

How it works:

  1. Recovery tools look for a config file called RecoverySimulation.ini on the OS drive
  2. If Active=Yes, it enables "test mode" for the recovery tools
  3. Test mode unlocks your BitLocker drive but a flag called FailRelock tells it to skip relocking
  4. cmd.exe spawns with full access to your "encrypted" drive

I can relate to not wanting to go into it. I’m moving on myself. Polars stuff seems nice enough. Good to know.

Honestly an applewatch might be your best bet. You can customize the readout up to a point. It might be big enough for you to read it without glasses. I track my swims and only sometimes look at them after. Never really during. I think in swimming it’s mostly useless.
