You either push your candidate to embrace a solution that has majority support with the democratic party voter base or risk losing a chunk of voters who've decided that genocide is their red line. I don't see how attempting to browbeat them is going to work. Especially as doing that gives license to the democratic party to shift the Overton window even further right.
It would be strategically counterproductive for Israel if their stated intentions were true. This won't make hezbollah "uncouple" from Hamas.

Idk, American support for Israel doesn't seem like it would stretch to risking US troops. Weapons are one thing, American lives are another.
