Other than DNS login, how does this differ from lemmy federate?
My number one concern is that now there are two services providing what appears to be the same service, some instances will use one of them, some will use another. That could harm community discovery unless we sign up to both.
Hey so I'm like a week behind here, but piefed.zip (and lemmy.zip) already blocks hexbear, lemmygrad, and lemmynsfw by default, and sends a PM to the user when they sign up to let them know why we do this, and how to remove it.
I'll look in to instance labels. Piefed has a lot of features, which is great, but are many hard to find or not well documented.
More and more people I know are eating out on Xmas day, I mean its crazy money but they haven't got to cook, clean up, or worry about everyone in their house.
If there are staff happy to work, I.e. don't celebrate, then it seems like its a small but growing trend.
+1 to everything you've said (as someone running lemmy + piefed instances)!
I feel really lucky in the admin team and the support from many of our users too, but I can absolutely see where sunaurus came from and why he dropped it.
It's hard to traverse when someone has been banned & their content removed - thats just the first thing that jumps out in the modlog.
Hi there
You got banned from lemmy.zip (over a year ago btw) for denying the genocide in Palestine.
This has the effect of removing the communities you moderate too, otherwise they wouldn't be moderated from our side.
Quite happy standing by that decision.

Is there, for example, better piefed support?
Thanks, the only thing that changed is the latest update to piefed. Is @rimu@piefed.social aware of any changes that might break the connection?

Hey, i can see your post on lemmy.world via https://lemmy.world/post/38075734 and I can see it on lemmy.zip via https://lemmy.zip/post/52045727 so looks like federation has worked in this case
I am one of those people who has issues with catbox.moe too unfortunately. And now imgur with the UK block π
More than happy for you to upload directly βΊοΈ
Image storage is relatively cheap, so if you want to upload directly that's fine with me π
Here's a picture of a cat!
(I will fix the backblaze url eventually)
