That depends on whether or not there was an infinite amount of energy in the Big Bang. Lacking that, you can't have infinite matter (i.e. infinite copies and possible configurations) even if you have infinite space to put it in.

They have already had three chances to vote for him. Anyone who voted for him in 2016 is a forgivable idiot. Anyone who voted for him in 2020 approves of everything he did in his first term. Anyone who voted for him in 2024 approves of everything he did in his first term AND approves of what happened on January 6th. Voting for him or supporting him after that is not forgivable.

Why can’t Americans just admit that their country suck and leave it at that?

It's a good question. Because our land is beautiful and a lot of us are working to keep it that way. Because we still see lots of people trying to come here for a better life. There are much fewer now, and a lot of us have deep shame for what the asshole in power has done to their communities. Despite appearances, a lot of us respect and admire them for taking the hard, unwanted jobs that nevertheless still need to get done. We still believe in what the Statue of Liberty stands for despite anything the asshole tries to do to it. Yes, we functionally conquered the world when we became the sole superpower after the Soviet Union fell apart. But we also led the world with science, inventions, entertainment, and aid. That's lost now, and a lot of us deeply resent everyone who had a hand in ruining that.

We are still working to make ourselves better.

I am however doubting the numbers since there are no independent observers in this war. You can’t just unquestionably take one sides word for things.

The ICC has accused Maria Lvova Belova of being the person in charge of the child abductions/ethnic cleansing. They are neutral and independent enough for me.

A diplomatic peace treaty should obviously see a return of these children.

I fully agree.

Yes. You can call me an ally if you want, or not, I don't care. I don't have a need to be called an ally. I'm here, and I'm reading and quietly learning. I'll support you, and go to bat for you when people speak badly of you. But I've got a bunch of other problems to deal with. Don't ask anything of me beyond that.

Nota bene: A similar issue is when people have only one name. I had a coworker who was in the system as "Fnu [her one and only name]". "Fnu" is not her name. It's a hack meaning "First Name Unknown" by a system that mandates a first name and a last name.
