For the time being MitID is still broken due to the play store integrity check, most of the Danish community opted for the free hardware code generator, I tried to get MitID chip working I have given up getting to even finish the setup. The code generator works flawlessly.
For banking I can vouch for Nordea, and with their own ID app you don't even need MitID for banking. Mobile pay complains if you don't have sandboxed play services.
How about you use eReolen which is the Danish library app available to all Danish citizens. It even incloudes audiobooks.
