The US has some of the highest GDP per capita on earth but that doesn’t mean it (or its economy, if you don’t define economy just as stock market go brrr) is doing well.
Even if it’s legal under french law EU law supersedes french law so this is still illegal.
But EU enforcement of GDPR, is, to be generous, very patchy, so…
fuck any Landlord who says you can't work from home because god forbid you use your home that you pay them for because you'd cause a bit more wear and tear than they would like.
Landlordism is in itself unethical. If you’re not using a home it belongs to the person who is making use of it. You shouldn’t have rights to leech wealth from them in perpetuity.
The surreal thing is FIFA makes billions in profits. And it distributes those profits back to the FAs (who by the way usually use them to make their officials rich; it doesn’t “trickle down”).
FIFA is rolling in money as an organisation. There is absolutely no need to sell. Especially to fucking Jared Kushner’s family my godd…
But I guess this is what happens when Monaco, Kuweit, Lichtenstein, and Bahrain have the same voting power in FIFA as Brazil, France, Spain, and England.
Which makes the graph sort of misleading. Nationalising or abolishing shell wouldn’t solve the problem. It might help, but we need wayy wayyy wayyyy more than that.
No worries, just be aware that like most chronic illness communities they are riddled with dodgy treatments. People all have their theories and their pet supplements when in reality we just don’t know.
but the useful thing is being in a group of people who suffer similarly, if you can get past the annoying alt-med, everyone cosplaying as a biologist, thing.
The first. Before COVID infection I was a healthy young person doing 30 hours of sports a week, since getting COVID I’ve been unable to leave my bed suffering from dozens of symptoms vomiting every day getting loads of infections because apparently my immune system called quits.
And just to be clear. While I initially faced disbelief from loads of doctors. I eventually found one specialised in long COVID who confirmed this and then I was confirmed when I had to go through the 1000 loops of hell to get disability income. So I’m not pulling this out of my arse.
(And frankly the “Actually it’s probably just stress” is the sort of minimising and harmful prejudicial attitude that’s hurting advocacy efforts and making it hard for long COVID to be taken seriously by the general public.)
Definitely possible, but harder/nearly impossible to verify.
Anyways long COVID isn’t one illness, it’s an umbrella term for health problems following a COVID infection. It can mean anything from COVID triggered Autoimmune diabetes to loss of smell after COVID.
Makes sense yeah.
Doing Worse is subjective.
Higher GDP ≠ Doing Better.

Thanks, in my opinion there should be a rule allowing meta news about wikipedia and the wikimedia foundation. Is that something you’ve considered?
I don’t think so. It violates the same number of clicks rule.

Is this data compatible/synced with OSM? That would be really cool.

Exactly. Don’t spare the governments.
in fact this is in the lead of the shell wikipedia page:

We’re following process, has got to be one of the least convincing excuses I’ve heard
The egregious part of this is they have loads of money in their reserves, ask for donations every year in a misleading way like they’re on the brink of bankruptcy. And now they won’t even recognise their workers union.

Love this!
Yeah. Definitely I wouldn’t shy away from joining Long COVID communities and the like. They will be helpful probably. BTW, do you experience PEM?
Right? And lets be honest plenty of unethical stuff still gets past IRB’s.

Wish it was just corrupt judges. But this is coming from most of the poltiical class
It is if it followed a COVID infection.
Same. ME/CFS triggered by COVID.
And most doctors are useless about it refuse to believe it.
