True, I just hope the DSA makes ample, AMPLE arguments showing that this entire race wasn't a primary followed by a general, it was Al Sayed vs AIPAC the entire time. If Stevens had won, or if Rogers wins, AIPAC was getting everything they wanted regardless.
I'm not sure that's how anything works. Actually I'm fairly certain that the entire right-wing media apparatus functions off of obfuscating the statistics of real issues; I'm gonna go with not that, but you do you I guess.
I mean traffic deaths drop in states where they publicly list the number of traffic deaths. Unless you think not being forthcoming about misogyny is the better path to curbing it, which is... A take.
I never said rate users. I think it would be helpful to have metrics on the site. "Hey, we had 25 misogynistic posts with 300 misogynistic comments across the following instances today. Do better." I think if people saw that then they'd be able to say "hey, maybe I shouldn't be a part of the problem today."
Edit: I'll be fixing my comments. I meant "Metrics for people to read," not "Metrics on people." That would be fucked up 😅
Right?! I hate comments like this; it downplays a real issue. Like even if Lemmy has less misogyny than other communities, it's still bad. I wish we had like provable metrics on communities for people to see, but idek who would compile or process that data.
No, not really. A) Zionism predates the Nazi party by quite a bit, and B) it's pretty well documented that a large amount of European countries supported the establishment of Israel so that they could get rid of their Jewish populations, including England who controlled Palestine. The Nazis did not have a monopoly on antisemitism in Europe, I promise you that.
It's not that it hasn't been practically true so much that it was just hype. Moore wasn't a scientist, he was a salesman. In practicality, Moore's law isn't "we can double the amount of transistors in a chip," it's "we can halve the size of transistors." Which, anyone who's gone through highschool can tell you, Planck would have something to say about how small you can get. But rephrasing "half the size for the same work" as "double the work for the same size" makes it sound like an infinite growth market, and you know how shareholders love that.
Eh, there's a depends here. I've had 2 really shit times in the last week dealing with people I know are underpaid; I also just don't care? Like, here. I've been having a scare with kidney disease. I'm in my 30s and I found out that I could have stage 3 kidney disease. I've been having near daily panic attacks for years because of a now-ex partner, and I'm on bp meds because my bp gets so high my organs start dying. So who calls me at fucking 7pm while I'm making dinner but the overworked NP at the nephrologists office. I miss the call. She leaves a message saying she needs to speak to me about my test results. I call right back and get routed to their after hours machine. Do you know how fucking anxious I was? I thought it was an emergency. I thought there was an issue with my results; I was devastated, and distraught. My bp shot up to over 200/120. I almost ended up in the hospital again. And for what? Because she decided to stick it to her boss and call me half-assedly? Why would you call me at that time and leave a message like that? Fuck a boss, but when you're dealing with people's health, I'm sorry but pick how you stick it to the fucker.
I didn't see shit, I don't know shit, I plead the 5th, get out of my doorway

Funny how the anti-bully ranger tried to bully you into sharing your identifiable socials

Yeah! Drinky-drinky no thinky! Just like dad taught me.
If I wanted good advice I'd go see a shrink, not a green text forum. Nerd. /s
You got a source for that, chief?
God I remember this dipshit. Racist transphobic piece of shit. I guarantee if they strike down Obergefell, she'll jump back onboard to repeal Loving.
Ol' "red skull in a facemask"-lookin ass.
Honestly, I'm more offended that they photoshopped him to look like a normal person. Thiel looks like someone who got a skull replacement.
Or the years spent missing other opportunities because you're too focused on your regret missing the earlier opportunities.
Just kill me. I'm tired.
Yeah but what'll we do without the $5 cities will spend on actually testing rape kits?
