The zoo was meh but the animals were going nuts as we approached totality, so that was cool.
Also there was a guy on the phone at the concession stand with somebody, and he was (very loudly, like straight out of trigger-happy tv) trying to tell them he was in the food line and asking if they wanted anything, but through his accent and the connection, the other party thought he was saying "Food Lion", a regional grocery chain in the area. Hilarity ensued. So that'll stick with me for a while.
Also at the Food Lion I got Cheerwine which I never had before. That's pretty good too.
Oh and I was visibly very hot and some stranger offered me a "coo rag". I'd never heard of them at the time, but was very put off by the offer. I later realized he was saying "cool rag" (which I also never heard of before, but now swear by). That'll also stick with me for a while. But points for hospitality? That mightve been in Charlotte tho.
ability to make RAM, which is an essential economic input these days
It's kind of cool to think about...that we're living in the silicon age. The next step after bronze and iron and steel. We're still making useful things out of rocks...but different rocks, and now we boil water to use them. Like a stone soup, which itself is based upon a pre-revolution French folk-tale about the joys of communism....but now the government is "encouraging" manufacturers to throw in their vegetables. I don't think government strong-arming the peoole was a part of the original tale but I could be wrong.
People with apnea say CPAP/APAP are life-changing.
They are not exaggerating.
I was dealing with a sciatica flare for months that would never get better. Had an unrelated sleep study, found out I never even get to deep, restorative sleep. Healing just...isn't happening.
Maybe unrelated, but since starting APAP my sciatica is much improved and I'm actually waking up refreshed.
I think a woman and PoC absolutely can win the DNC primary.
But let's be real here. The #1 disqualifying trait of HRC and Harris was their obvious lack of external genetalia.
It had nothing to do with the sham of a primary. It had nothing to do with Israel.
The fact is after all the bullshit that happened 2020-2024, 2 million more people still found Donald motherchild-fucking Trump more appetizing than Harris.
And I don't think all of those people chose Trump on policy or track record. They were all at least 12 during Trump's first term, they have no excuse.
Let's stick to reality tho...neither did Republicans. Troll farms did, and people bought it hook, line, and sinker.
I saw the 2017 eclipse from Greenville Zoo.

You can dance (if you want to).
This.

So cute. I saw a grey fox nibbling on a corn stalk while I was driving past a small farm today. Love em.
Buckle up my man. Remember how shit programming got during, and then following, the writers guild strike? How many shows just...could not recover?
Imagine if the writers were to strike again. They'd be replaced with AI scabs in a heartbeat.
Don't stop thinking about tomorrow.
It'll be here. Better than before
A single Big Mac can power a gaming PC for 2 hours, a Tesla for ~2.5 miles, or a moderately active human for 6 hours.
It could also take an e bike anywhere from 25-50 miles depending on the rider, terrain, and other factors.
I don't know if I'd say we're "inefficient"...but we also don't carry around 1000lbs of batteries...even in America.
Twitter?
Never met her.
I miss being able to get that high.

Hide yo kids. Hide yo dalmations.
Jason grew up in Boston and took a job as a landscaper in Hawaii.
They should name X Æ A-Xii Musk too, then.
One because Musk needs his human shield around, and two because somebody else needs to name that kid.
Everything is legal in New Jersey.
Correct, her party would have to have the Senate majority, and they would have to elect her.
I would love to see it.
