Damn. Maybe she shouldn’t have been so hung-ho on the slaughter and torture of Palestinians. Maybe the DNC should have done literally anything to separate themselves from the GOP when it came to foreign policy.
Nuke bros are insufferable. There has been such an aggressive astroturfing campaign to prop up nuclear power, and it’s always the same tired (mostly outdated and inaccurate) talking points. It’s way too expensive, takes too long to build and renewables make way more sense. The main reason why nuclear power is being pushed so hard again is the unsustainable proliferation of data centres for AI, but no matter how much production you create, it will never be enough.
It was the reliance on the white male saviour trope that soured it for me. James Holden was such an annoying character for me. It had so much potential
Maybe start with acknowledging that liberalism can’t defeat fascism. Stop being afraid of socialism, and fight for workers rights. As long as liberals can hide behind their privilege and delude themselves into thinking they are “middle class” because they are buried in debt, because they refuse to see themselves as part of the working class, and instead align themselves with the wealthy that actually own everything, nothing will change for the better. Keep your focus on dismantling the power structure that the wealthy have built, and stop attacking fellow working class people who have been fooled.
Are you ready to take the fight to the streets? Because that’s likely what it’ll come down to. Voting won’t save you. The constitution is only a flimsy piece of paper. Start organizing now.
My personal hate is the word "settler", which invokes an image of somebody taking previously useless land and making it fit for human habitation, but apparently has been redefined within the borders of Palestine to mean "armed invader".
That is revisionist history. Settler colonialism isn’t a thing that happened in the distant past, it is an ongoing process that is still going on to this day. What is currently happening in Palestine and Ukraine is an exactly what happened in the lands that you live on. You are a settler living on stolen indigenous lands, which were taken by brutal force no less inhumane and heinously than that being used by the IDF and the Russian state. Fuck off with that “previously useless land” bullshit.
Nuclear energy is backed by big business and a lot of money. It’s a big cash cow and there is a lot of money and effort spent to manufacture public support for it, and they use troll farms to push their agenda, no doubt. Am I the only one that finds it a little suspicious that it’s always the same few talking points whenever the topic is mentioned? Whenever there’s a discussion about investing in renewable energy, there are always nuke bros popping up, bombarding the thread, derailing the discussion.

I just thought his character was cringey and there were way more interesting characters to focus on than him

It’s important because settlers have been denying the genocide from the beginning and still do to this day.
Liberals are not leftists.

Conservatives really are the biggest, most whiny pussies on the planet. I’m embarrassed for you.
Or you know, give the land back to indigenous peoples.
Yet you still took the time to post about it
Are you ready to take the fight to the streets? Because that’s likely what it’ll come down to. Voting won’t save you. The constitution is only a flimsy piece of paper. Start organizing now.
Good. Anything good for them is bad for everyone else.
No shit.
It’s also a glimpse of current climate… and it will get worse.
Climate change is a capitalism problem.
Democrats are right wingers
