"Small tasks" are the key there. It can write a small script or spin up application boilerplate very well, but it really struggles with long-term maintenance and new features on a complex application.
I spend about as much time telling the AI "no, not like that" as it supposedly saves me from not having to type the code manually.
It does have some value, but I'd put it around a 10% boost -- not the 500% boost that senior leadership insists it can do.
Between Lutris and Steam, I've been able to run every game flawlessly -- several with better performance than I've seen on Windows, even.
The only limitation is anti-cheat software that some games (Team Fortress, Battlefield, etc.) require. I don't play those types of games myself, so it's not an issue for me.
I subscribed to him years ago when he was doing a regular "indie impressions" type series. He stopped doing it; I haven't watched since. Still subscribed on the off chance that he'll start it back up again...
It's surprisingly hard to find channels that are eclectic; usually the host will stick to a specific genre of games, which makes it hard to find new and unique ones.
I can't speak for how other people browse, but when I come across an article with a paywall, I tend to say "eh, it wasn't that important anyway" and leave. Or if it really is important, I'll search for the title and try to find the information on a site without a paywall.
If there ends up being a "browser wall", I'll certainly do the same thing. No article/web app is so important or unique that it's worth quitting my preferred browser (Firefox) and switching to something I like less.
But what's scary to me, as a Firefox user, is that Chrome & Safari are so extremely dominant. If companies are forced to choose between supporting Chrome (60% share), Safari (20% share), or Firefox (3% share), it's clear that Firefox users will run out of sites to use pretty quickly.
