I was at occupy, and it’s fascinating and horrifying to watch people I knew from back then now among the alt right. Tim Pool is the bad penny I always roll my eyes at.

It started long before that. When Pope Sylvester threw in with Constantine is when I place it, but probably before that.

As human beings we tend to personify things. We used to describe the winds and the seasons, etc. as gods. This is useful when you don’t have meteorology and you need to describe what is going to happen and why. Just because we no longer talk about the winds and seasons in terms of gods doesn’t mean those forces went away. I think a lot of these ancient people, if you were to bring them into the modern age and describe how we view gods and the supernatural, might find our ideas a little silly.
