I bought a weight set, barbell and dumbells on impulse because it was really cheap at a local flea market and I use it every day and am in the best shape of my life now

I had this conversation with them and they were able to pick out distinct styles and talk about all sorts of local and international stuff they listen to and watch. They have friends and go to local shows. They have their own thing going on. They can look at pictures from the 2000s, 2010s and now and tell the difference where I can't. Just because you're out of touch and seemingly miserable doesn't mean no one has a distinct identity today lol.
Sorry to be the one to break it to you but that is because you are old. My kids listen to distinct music, play distinct games and know a whole group of celebrities I never heard of and will look back at the 20s as their teenage years that were distinct from the time that they look back on it from.
