For identifying plants and animals, Google Lens does a great job! I've also recently starting using Seek by iNaturalist, which not only IDs it, but also gives you a chance to upload your finding and turn it into a research grade information point for naturalists everywhere!

I've always had excellent luck using Google Lens to identify plants
Apparently it's called "Cunk on Earth". Had to look it up myself
lemmy.world because it was top recommended. In the future I might change to either host my own or use my wife's ex-husband's instance.
