At my remote site it has little value. At my home I have IPv6 setup on Starlink as my secondary backup internet. I use Fiber as the primary that has a public IPv4 and IPv6.
These are going to be the people who think it's smart to just open up RDP and SSH to the wide web though...they shouldn't be forwarding ports...they should use a VPN.
I'd much rather deal with setting up a few VPN gateways which is trivial at most...than securing a public web service. I deal with that crap enough at work.
There are a lot less variables to contend with with a single VPN endpoint which undergoes considerably more security auditing than N public web services. Many of which I don't have the time to review myself and mitigate if they decide to suck at coding.
Edit: I share my services with less than 5 households though.

Idk. People write off my neck of the woods, historically very purple, as racist and red af constantly...further driving the independents more and more to the right. It doesn't help that the Dems keep attacking sensible gun ownership.
Over my life I keep watching many many normal middle of the road people pushed right by the Federal Dems. They either fall in rank with Republicans or just stop engaging with anything outside local elections. It's saddening but I've kinda just accepted it at this point.
Unfortunately I still think there is still too much Dem infighting. I expect a big painful loss for Dems this, and maybe even the next, election cycle. Perhaps after that there will be enough focused anger to unseat a Republican president.
I've found a lot more that needed to be blocked than I actually want to actively participate in. But maybe that's just fatigue from all the churn here during the initial reddit API fiasco.
I guess if I blocked literally any community that got political the Truth Social comparison wouldn't feel so apt to me.
So as a non-Brit I should care? Or should I start using this term out of spite?

We use lots of natural borders as the delimiters of given states. The Mississippi River is a big one. You see it more out east than west IMHO.

Considering how much of an angry echo chamber it is, it really feels like a lefty truth social. Or at least that's how I describe it to non-users.

Fedora Kinoite for all desktops, Fedora CoreOS for Kubernetes, and RockyLinux for anything else. I do use Proxmox though for any hypervisors though.
We're all RHEL/Rocky at work so I try to restrict myself to something similar.
