Damn, year 1905 ALMOST had it right when they said "nobody wants to work for wages". A slight correction to "these wages" and they wouldve been 100 years before their time.

Youd like to think thats true, it probably is. This post is from like 4-5 years ago (evidence is the "wear a mask" in the NYC account's title). I'd guess that Mamdani has put that barbaric pratice behind the city, and that they would be moving forward on more low income housing and accessible shelters in the city.

Already addressed this before your post and under you. Do some more reading before just throwing shit around.

Sorry I shouldve probably said "we'd have less to complain about". I dont support us getting involved in another war in the middle east, I support that idea EVEN LESS when we start a war in the ME without using the proper channels. And I cant disagree with you there, we constantly get involved in shit around the world that we shouldnt be, and that nobody has asked us to, in the interest of "spreading democracy".

Thinking people are opposed to Trump invading Iran, or opposed to Trump in general because he's "mean" is misguided at best. If Trump had gone through the correct channels, and gotten congressional approval for the "strategic combat operations" weve been involved in, nobody would have anything to complain about (other than the obvious "no new wars" and higher gas prices, but thats a different topic entirely). Trump acts as though he has absolute power in the seat of the executive, and has unfortunately surrounded himself with loyal cronies that wont tell him no. I dont give a fuck that he's mean (it isnt even that he is, he honestly acts like a 1st grade playground bully), but I do give a fuck about him following the law, being held accountable when he doesn't, and that he follows correct etiquette when making decisions that will effect the entire country.

Legality.

If you kill someone randomly, in cold blood, without permission; it's considered against the law and the state or country you are in may prosecute you for breaking the law.

Now if you kill someone randomly, in cold blood, WITH permission; you are a soldier committing state/country sanctioned murder. The state or country you are in may not prosecute you for breaking a law, unless you comitted war crimes and said country is accountable on that front.

Other than that, yeah its pretty much the same. Just whether the place you live can legally prosecute you or not really.

Ever stop to think that if the media, opposing party, regular citizens, and even voters in the same party, are all calling these actions facist that maybe...JUST MAYBE..... Its because it reeks of facist ideology and anyone that has studied history during the 1930s+40s know what it looks and sounds like? If everyone is screaming the same fucking thing, MAYBE ITS TIME TO LISTEN INSTEAD OF BURYING YOUR HEAD IN THE SAND.

And what would you have us all do? To be honest (as a straight, white dude in America with no real minority status) im pissed as all hell. Ive watched what was initially a kinda shitty country turn to straight far right Authoritarian in a heartbeat, and I dont want any of this shit. But aside from a large scale revolution, which includes burning it all down and starting over from scratch, what the hell do we do. Our votes all count the same, so we can go out and vote but we wont always have numbers. Realistically all I feel empowered to do is bitch on social media UNTIL something big pops off, and then go participate in it.
