Huge ds1/ds3 fan here. I can complete those multiple times in a row, without skipping any content and still find it enjoyable. I did one single playthrough of elden ring and that's enough, too much filler content, I feel like a new playthrough would be just me riding torrent from an item to another on a giant map filled with content which I would have no incentive to interact with. All of this to make a build that I would use in some of the worst boss fights fromsoft ever designed. The wow factor made me enjoy that first run but there won't be a second one.

It's not VLC role to give a job to subtitle writers. Their role is to let you play any piece of media. AI subs are supposed to fill the gap when there are no quality subs available or no subs at all. As a feature it makes complete sense for a media player. No company will stop hiring sub writers because of this feature in VLC. And in the really rare cases it would happen I guess thiese companies already don't care about providing quality subs.
As usual they're deploying it in waves. I can confirm i get no description, no comments and when watching a playlist it will play the first few seconds then it will display "content unavailable" and switch to the next video. If I disable ublock origin or if I logout everything goes back to normal.
Elden ring opened the gate so wide that we got newcomers trashing on some gameplay features which have been a staples of those games since from software started making them. At some point gatekeeping ensure that you don't alienate the players who played all your games and played a big part on your success. Cause the wider you want to open the gate and the more you have to move away from your vision. Imo not all games are meant for everyone and that's fine.
My point being that no matter who is the American president this genocide is happening. So quit bringing the discussion to you. And for the record it was going on for decades before i was even born, but i still don't see how that would make it relevant to make it about americans and whoever is running their country.

It will ensure the frame being sent to your display is more recent and represent the game state the best.
