I feel like Las Vegas takes fourth just purely from cultural relevance.

If it was by population then the 4th would be Houston but no one gives a shit about Houston.

My first interaction with a self-proclaimed Buddhist was in an Omegle chat where he opened with something like "the US staged 9/11", I guess in an attempt to rage-bait

They tried making me read it in school and I just re-read the plot synopsis and I still don't get why this book is so popular. Everything about it is so fucking boring.

But then again maybe the reason it doesn't resonate with me is because I wasn't raised to fantasize about finding a rich, hot husband... you know, as a cis man.

It's implied that the second gnome is Malcom's partner and they presumably live together.

So imagine telling your SO that you're tired of parties and they throw you a party in the home you share to ostensibly help you unwind.

Seems like a positive feedback loop:

  1. Netflix creates show that's pretty good
  2. People watch it
  3. Netflix takes too long to release season 2
  4. People forget show exists, stop watching
  5. Netflix drops a season years later
  6. No one watches it because they forgot what happened in season 1 and Netflix shows are so serial that you have to know what happened
  7. Netflix cancels show due to low viewership
  8. Fans of the show feel jilted and slam Netflix on social media
  9. Rinse and repeat

Tell me your company leadership has ADHD without saying it.

Have they actually worked with Valve before? How could they be dumb enough to not reach out first?

Or was this maybe an attempt to strong-arm Valve into granting them a license? Like, did they expect them to go, "well shit, you've got so many preorders now I guess we'll have to sign off on it"?

Or did they simply expect Valve not to care?

These might be sold separately but don't cheap out, if you want them to wear evenly then replace both at the same time.

But base wage for those positions is also significantly lower than minimum wage because the tips are expected to compensate for it, so the ceiling is higher but the floor is also lower. So refusing to tip at all does kind of make you out to be the asshole.

Unfortunately most people are just trying to survive and don't really have the time or the energy to worry about the bigger picture.

Personally, I just split the difference and refuse to tip anywhere it's not already factored into the wage structure. It's not gonna change the situation but at least it helps hold the line.
