I've left a lot of friends behind over the years because I rarely put in the effort to maintain a friendship when my effort obviously isn't being reciprocated, but shout out my best friend from when I was 15 to when I was 25 for ghosting me because he was beefing with someone else entirely and he wanted a clean break from that person.

For about three days before he came back acting like nothing was fucking wrong.

I don't think about him much anymore, which I suppose is healing. But if his name comes up, I will drop some salt

Gonna be honest, having had the freedom to let it grow wild I'm starting to think its not all its cracked up to be

But having enough available length for pigtails and meatball buns? You can't put a price on that. So I put up with accidentally pulling my hair that got caught between me and the matress when I stir in the night

Thanks for the warning. Though yeah, considering they like to titrate you with a low dose to start with that tracks. Probably not even worth trying until they up the dosage

Depends on the trans person. I tend to degender my past self. Which is actually accurate because before I identified as a girl I didn't really identify as anything with any degree of passion so I consider my past self to be agender and use they/them pronouns for them

image In Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games,
one of Amy’s victory lines is "Girl power!"
and one of Sonic's is "Hedgehog power!"
This implies that Sonic's gender is
hedgehog

Do you read webnovels or lightnovels. If yes to the latter I've really enjoyed "she professed herself pupil of the wise man" in spite of some… shall we say "choices". That author's egg is cracking any day now.

If yes to the former, see you on scribblehub, we got all sorts of gender bender and trans stuff there. We got the works of Fern V Bedek, we got whatever Cape and capability is and we've also got (ahem) me!

No, no. I just live in one of those silly countries where getting on HRT takes months and costs hundreds. I knew I'd be starting at some point for the past year ish

Lobster too buttery

Like that's not what you were hoping for but that's still a win in my book

I've been playing this game where I lose a bunch of weight before I start HRT then put it all back on and this time its in cooler places. I started HRT last week but I forgot to end the diet. Oh well.

So in the european union thanks to GDPR we have all these new requirements for encryption of personal data in transit. Which are reasonable on their face. The problem is that nobody knows how to do encryption properly. They'll put a password on the zip or PDF file during export and the password will be (and I swear I've actually encountered this one in the wild) my date of birth in the form mmyy. Fun fact, a decent computer can brute force a 4 digit numeric password in less than a second.

This is called security theater. Its there to make you feel safe. Any incompetent hacker could breeze through it with a chatGPT answer. And ironically we have better systems. See that padlock next to the URL on your web browser? That means your connection to this website is secured by https. That means bad guys can't see your password just because they're on the same wifi network as you. That uses asymetric encryption (where the encryption and decryption keys are different and actually unrelated). That's real security. But I guess that's only for technical users not the lady from the doctors office.

Real security would be asymetric encryption where only the end users have the encryption and decryption keys, not any of the systems in between like google gmail. Sending via gmail will actually encrypt your data in transit because email can also have SSL protection. But google can still scan your emails, realise you have cancer and push you ads for miracle mineral solution. But use a tool like PGP or GPG to encrypt before sending through gmail… Nobody is seeing your diagnosis without stealing your secret key. And nobody needs to see your secret key to encrypt in the first place.

I watched almost 10 minutes of a youtuber shilling it and my takeaway is "linux for Elon Musk". The marketing was leaning heavily into "powered by the bedrock of archlinux. Use this and you can have honorary arch cred". And like, no! As an arch user, I started on ubuntu. It took me years to gain the competencies to be an arch power user. And throughout my learning journey I had the loving embrace of an operating system that didn't expect me to learn fucking keyboard shortcuts. It ships with a keyboard first tiling window manager, and those are HARSHLY unforgiving. I tried i3 after I'd already moved into my gentoo phase, and I still found it tough and ultimately did not stick with it, realising if I want a keyboard first workflow I can create shortcuts for my stacking window manager and still have the mouse to fall back on. That and its intentional 80s hacker aesthetic just REEKS of I use arch btw elitism. Trash distro. I don't want ubuntu to stay the face of linux, but I'd rather the title go to an old guard like Fedora, not this poser.

This wants to be the distro you use if you want people to think you're vewy smart.

Finding out its vibe coded and the creator is an Elon wannabe just reinforces my initial impressions

  • Kris from Deltarune and Frisk from Undertale are both non-binary, though they never tell us their agabs (fair)
  • Kirby, while using he/him pronouns in the english speaking world has always been genderless and even hangs out with the girls in a nintendo promotional panel where a bunch of nintendo's female characters bake together. He is also seen in the equivilent nintendo boys content
  • The player character in hollowknight is some sort of eldrich thing pretending to be a child, so falls into the genderless monster trope
  • Cyberpunk famously allows you to create a custom character who is male, female or some combination of the two
  • Saint's Row 2 has a gender slider where all the way to the left makes your boobs bigger and all the way to the right makes your dick bigger. I can only assume right in the middle to mean non binary.
  • Every saints row game between SR2 and SR2022 has plastic surgery clinics where you can change your gender pretty much at will as long as you have the money. SR2022 replaces with a pause menu item which is better for convenience but less fun from a worldbuilding standpoint.

There's a certain type of person who takes pride in the fact they've never shoplifted while never having been close enough to the poverty line to know desparation. Who cannot understand the concept of genuine nessessity. Who thinks the hand people were dealt in life should not be considered in a moral measure of their character. For want of a better word, a privileged person.

I don't trust someone untested by life because there's a strong chance they'll heel turn the second something doesn't go their way. Its easy to be generous when you have a billion dollars to give away if that makes sense
