Yeah, the Canadian price was a shocker for my friends and I. Unless we can all sell our original switches for enough to offset the costs to be similar to what the switch 1 costs, none of us are going to get it. Also, we have been paying $70-90 for games for a while, but fuck over $100 for a game. I've got enough backlog to keep me busy. I'd rather get a steamdeck and get more milage.
Doug Ford is such a weak Premier. Absolute mistake that Ontario continued to let this fool (mis)manage the province. Stop giving in to the Americans, their promises are worthless.
Hopefully they actually killed that contract and not just saying it for clout. They better have a plan to still provide better Internet services to these communities.
My wife's family had to deal with shitty xplornet services for years while living in the sticks. They literally had no internet for weeks and xplornet was like "we don't see any issues on our end". It took multiple calls to actually get a tech to finally come out, but then said nothing's wrong and left it at that, despite no internet still. Xplornet just eventually started ignoring their calls. They got starlink and haven't had an issue since. It sucks that it's owned by Elon "the man-child Nazi" Musk, who could just decide to cut off services in Canada. Doesn't help our own telecoms are dog shit in their own way either. It's long overdue getting the rural and remote communities access to Internet in Canada.
Good point, I had forgotten that the Liberal leadership race is underway. I'd personally be fine with either of them as the liberal party leader. But in the end, I'd rather the NDP be given a chance at governing.

Seems like there's multiple different problems people are having, which is unfortunate. Mine was an actual popup error stating that the server was unavailable or a different version which was strange. Sometimes it lets me in now and sometimes it doesn't.
I keep getting an error with pixelfed.social as well, likely due to the influx lately. I'm hoping for dark mode soon as well. It'll improve with time, but it's been a bit of a rough go with the attention it's getting.
I agree with this line of thinking. So much of the public space is littered with ugly, invasive and obtrusive ads. Seeing ads just brings up small amounts of anger and annoyance because of how in your face and manipulating they can be.
We have a grazer (who is also picky) and an over eater at home. To control their food we had to give them more, smaller meals each day. Here is our feeding schedule:
Breakfast: split a can of wet cat food between both cans (3.2oz can) - between 6-7am
Lunch: a scoop of dry food into a bowl each (don't really know the size, maybe a half cup) - around 12pm
Dinner: split another can of wet food - between 5-6pm
2nd dinner: a scoop of dry food each - between 10-11pm
It's not perfect as sometimes the over eater will get a bit more food, but the restrictions do help keep a schedule for them. When the grazing cat finishes only half their wet food, we often give the rest to the big guy. The dry food is also an appetite control diet, but the over eater still goes to town on it.
The picky one sometimes doesn't eat the wet food and wants dry food, so we save the half of the wet food for the other one's lunch.
Experiment around, see what works and what doesn't. Maybe try an appetite control food, it is a bit pricier but may work for you.
It really isn't that hard to bypass the windows 11 account setup. There's literally a CMD function to make it so you can skip it on a new machine. Fucking Elon can't take 2 seconds to figure something out on his own before blasting anyone else because of his incompetence.
The funniest thing to me is hearing a government sponsored ad patting themselves on the back for saying they're doing something (it's really all it is, saying they're doing something with no evidence to back it up), followed by another ad refuting the government.
It's a significant improvement upon the first game. Update art, improved mechanics, better online multiplayer support and some new content. If you loved the first, you'll love RORR.
I remember playing the Ultimate Spider-Man game for the sole fact that Venom had playable sections. Hopefully we do get a standalone Venom game someday.
