There's a dish from Réunion island plainly called "vanilla chicken". It's onions, garlic, ginger, tomatoes, chicken, a few herbs and spices and a fuckton of vanilla simmered in a pot for hours. Like almost all creole dishes, it's served with white rice, lentils, fresh rougail and the most insane chili paste casually put on a table as if it was a salt shaker.
The £/s/d system comes from Charlemagne in the 8th century to unify currency in his Frankish empire, not Roman times! A Carolingian pound of pure silver (libra/pfund, about 408g) was divided in 20 shillings (solidus/schilling), themselves divided into 12 pennies (denarius/pfenning). Only pfennings were actually minted, the other two were accounting units.
You might at least want to upgrade to a Pro 2 or above brew head. The basket is large enough to fit 18g and the cylinder is large enough to pull a double.
Yeah they're super fragile. I have broken about half a dozen until I upgraded to Loveramics cups. They're expensive af but I haven't broken a single one in 5 years.
I've just started drinking a batch of home roasted peaberry beans from Costa Rica. SCA 87, tasting notes of strawberry and blackcurrant. Straight double espresso of course.
I definitely have red fruit notes and a balanced acidity. It smells like chocolate covered strawberries. I like it a lot.
I do have one! Although it's an old, barely decent phone picture and it's taken above the naked portafilter, if you like it feel free to use it ;)
(I do have a crappy one from under the portafilter but it's bad quality and my face is visible in the chrome reflections, something I'm not comfortable with)
A lot of, not all. In Spain, most bananas are produced domestically in the Canary Islands. Also there's a small but significant production in the French Caribbean.
As a happy owner of both a big powerful versatile machine (Steam Deck) that can play anything from the late 70' up to modern AAA PC games, and small pocketable-ish but underpowered console (RGCubeXX) that's good up to the PSX, I'd say go for the most powerful your budget allows. The Deck is my main gaming machine but for anything up to the mid-90's, the RG is great EDC. I feel this one, provided there is an open source OS released for it, could be an excellent compromise.
I asked the same question a few years ago and ended up buying a water distiller. Much less wasted water, and doubles as a nice space heater in winter. It's much cheaper than a RO system, convenient enough for espresso (I make 3l of pure water once every 2-3 weeks) and unlike RO systems, doesn't need costly consumables and maintenance. It only needs descaling once in a while like a regular kettle.
I have a massive head too (7 3/4 or 62cm). The only hats that fit me are either fitted 59Fifty baseball caps (but not buyin American anymore) or XXL Flexfit caps which A) only come in basic polyester/cotton/elastane blend and solid colors so tough shit if you want fun colorways and/or technical materials and B) are super affordable and supremely comfortable.
Okay hear me out. I love spicy food. I love hot sauces. My mouth has a quite high tolerance for capsaicin. I would consider anything below 100K Scoville mild at best and every single standard commercial sauce (Tabasco, Cholula, Huy Fong Sriracha, Frank's etc.) no more spicier than ketchup. When it's taco night at home I drench mine in hot sauces. My asshole does absolutely not have the same tolerance.

It's fucking amazing.
Seems good to me, that's usually what I do with my Gene. You could probably extend an extra 30s to get into medium roast territory.
Fun fact!

Depends on your countertop real estate but a Flair has a much smaller footprint than any regular espresso machine.
I tend to roast to the lighter side. Definitely trickier to pull compared to darker roasts, but it's worth it.
FWIW I wasted a lot of coffee on my first batches, it took some time before I settled on a routine that works. What's your process?
Yeah they're super fragile. I have broken about half a dozen until I upgraded to Loveramics cups. They're expensive af but I haven't broken a single one in 5 years.
FWIW that was already how much we had to pay in Europe before.

Thanks!
Feel free to use it :)
It's a Lelit Bianca. Beautiful, and entirely made of reflective surfaces.
I don't do latte art, but I can make a mean espresso cup.

May I suggest a little bit of Igorrr as a palate cleanser?

Well, the EL backlight is kind of amazing and beautiful.

Then I remineralise it with one of these recipes: https://www.baristahustle.com/diy-water-recipes-the-world-in-two-bottles/
