Pumpkins are not in season all year. Same with peach pie, blueberry pie, and all the various fruits and such. Seasonal pies are certainly a thing in my household. I'm also the oddball that gets a pumpkin pie for my birthday. If apple is your jam, ha, then you should make an apple and cheese pie. Sounds super weird but is a game changer. They wanted me to ask how people are and say thanks have a good day and all the things that have nothing to do with the information I needed.
