Debatable if you want to count Avatar as anime (TLA, not blue cat people). Watched that in basically one sitting, besides going to the bathroom and quick trips to the fridge. That’s 61 episodes at a little over 20 minutes each.
And I’ve watched cowboy bebop in a single sitting a few times, though that’s very short in comparison.
Streaming services (especially when it’s only one) being the only way to watch a show legally is such a garbage way of distribution.
The decline of physical media has also really hurt how media is monetized.
Imo they should adopt a 3-free episodes system (streamed), then you can pay for the rest of the series if you want to watch. I think either by episode streamed (with download available), and/or get the season as a download and/or blue-ray or usb flash drive. And forget the drm, that shit isn’t stopping anyone.
Of course none of that will ever happen because publishing and licensing companies are greedy leeches. But the “pay forever, own nothing” model makes it hard to not justify piracy.
I still don’t understand who all these organizations are, but seems like they like to show us bit by bit. Like in this ep we got a little taste of who Dera was/is based off of his house.
Also showing us a little more daemon capabilities. Interesting they can just kinda prefer to be with someone else.
A non-isekai fantasy means they have to write a believable in-world reason for the protagonist becoming who they are and why we should care, instead of just yoinking some nobody out of Japan into a fantasy world
Really ramping up the relationships in this one. Full failure to commit from Ijichi, but that got us the girls saying they’re into each other, so I’ll take it
Yeah it’s pretty sad. Back in high school a bunch of my friends would hang out at the Waffle House sometime between 10pm and 4am several times a week. It was 3.25 for coffee and a waffle. If you forgot your wallet you could usually scrounge for change under your friends car seats and make it happen. That was about 10 years ago, but man it feels like a whole different time, and just yesterday all at the same time. The cost of everything now makes me sick
This show just swings back and forth between cute and emotional damage
That’s some wild bike geo

If anything Kanan’s mom is the one that’s devilishly easy, she is down bad.
These episodes feel crazy short every week.

Far more slapstick than I expected from this series, but it was funny and cute
What anime is that? Pretty sure I’ve watched, but can not remember

I’d say Deadman Wonderland is up there. Parts of that fucked with me for a while
