I disagree with your comment slightly, yes we are being irrational as a species. But I'm afraid statements like "they believed it was better to go extinct rich" will only feed misanthropy and apathy.
In truth the minority of those in power do not act to stop the environmental crisis because they simply don't believe they will be affected by it. They have AC, work out of the sun, do not suffer any shortage, and can move out of any affected area. In their eyes only the masses will suffer, and for a while they will be right.
Humanity is headed towards hell, not because of greed or stupidity, but because its elite largely does not live in the world it rules.
"Eat the rich" is ideologically consistent because its proponents believe wealth is innately wrong and violent, therefore violence against them is warranted.
"Tax the rich" is used by people who don't think that, and who usually have no moral objection to taxation either. They generally want the rich to simply contribute their fair share.
No need to call me funny, just ask for explanation if you don't find me clear enough.
"Tax the rich" is not the best slogan because, as a toned-down version of "eat the rich", it implies taxation is a kind of punishment rather than the fair contribution to society most of its proponents believe it to be.
Are you sure? Given the context I think they're talking about non-voters who wouldn't vote for the dems due to Biden and Harris' strong support for Israel.
"Bitch about genocide"? Christ, have some decency.
Last June, a UN report found Israel intentionally targets children in order to extinguish the Palestinian people. Literally bombing maternity wards in order to make sure as many babies are killed as possible. Why can't you treat the subject with at least some respect? Why do you feel the need to belittle it?
In a group I go to, there's an amab enby who talks a lot, give their uninformed opinion on everything with assurance, talks over or interrupts other people, readily raises their voice to make themselves heard, and uses their physical presence to intimidate people they disagree with. They have a deep voice and tall body with beard. I guess I would have called this "male socialized" before this post, but I don't want to use dog whistles or anything.

What are better ways to address this?
