There's an open issue at codeberg to allow inputting domains there directly. Like you said, it doesn't make sense to have to go to page filled with exactly what you'd like to block.

Federation being half working does make it hard to tell what is intended and what is just broken. As far as I can tell most federation for fedia stopped about 4 hours ago.
You can enable inline images with the "Auto media preview:" under the cog menu. Be aware you may see NSFW images, because those tags do not properly federate from lemmy instances.

I don't really get the rules about code sharing with agpl. To me it would be public simply by existing on your site. Everyone can right click and view source. I would ask a lawyer or at least a dev with experience with agpl license.
