I watch a lot of them, and I agree with you. I find that some have decent characters, but most are terribly bland. Re-Zero has a decent setting but one of the worst main characters IMO.

Not that one, but IMO Shield Hero went from mid to terrible over the seasons. I haven't even bothered with the latest ones.
Yeah that's the one. The first episodes were okay-ish if I'm being generous, but I just couldn't continue after that scene.
