That’s what made it confusing for me at first until I watched a couple of videos. I’m that type of person that googles something and adds reddit at the end and I still can’t figure out how to easily view a post from another instance using the post url.
I understand how it works for communities, but maybe there’s a simpler way for individual posts too and I don’t know about it.

it's really hard right now if you don't have followers on insta / twitter already. it's gonna be easier once they add post search and more features

that connection is temporary as well. I'm guessing it's rushed because they wanted to take advantage of the twitter situation

I'm not sure where I can check that. I can see lemmy.world communities in the all tab but I have problems with pending subscriptions
Edit: I've checked rn with a post from lemm.ee and it works
Hmm it works fine on lemmy.ml but not on lemmy.world. I'm guessing that might be a problem with their instance idk
