Just out of curiosity, why do you all think Lemmy is more positive?

I wonder if the slightly more difficult step of federating with an instance is keeping some of the more negative people away.

I'm not in Baltimore, but I've been seeing a lot of these posts on my feed.

I really love the engagement that this account is bringing to the community, I wish my municipality would do the same!

One topic that I believe is related is the decision not to have children.

My wife attempted to get her tubes tied, and every doctor turned her down because she was too young.

Despite being the same age, the first doctor I spoke to agreed to a vasectomy without Amy pushback.

Teachers. It is such a widely known trope that teachers are overworked and underpaid. So many that want to pursue teaching now enter the market, understanding that they will likely need a second job at some point. Although internet kudos do little to actually address the problem, my respect goes to the teachers.

Best wishes for a recovery. Thank you for being such a great human being to your cat.

One of my favorite things about this project has been the transparency of development, and how it seems that they truly care what the community wants. And mmstick's interaction with the community has been nothing short of first-class.

It all depends on your risk tolerance and perceived threat model.

I would recommend that if you do use Proton Pass in conjunction with your email, keep a backup KeePass file stored locally and in a few other places and update routinely.

The Proton ecosystem definitely doesn't fit everyone's security model, but it is a massive leap compared to what Google and Apple offer.

Regardless of why you have opted not to divorce, this is a tricky situation to be in. It's often so awkward when these taboo topics make an unexpected appearance in casual conversation. It sounds like your current situation works for both of you, and I wish you the best of luck navigating this in the future.
