It's no surprise really. Insect populations are WAY down and just try to suggest to someone that they keep their cat inside.
We can make a difference though. I've transformed the majority of my backyard from lawn to natives and I can see the difference. So many insects I've never seen before as well as prolific bird activity.

Individuals can reduce the demand for meat and the industry will follow.
