If you haven’t already, you should consider making a swap file. I have a laptop with only 8gb that runs Firefox with tons of tabs no problem, and even works as a totally usable dev machine if I’m feeling patient lmao
I know the states’ legal system is beyond fucked, but would that seriously be legal? Imagine crowdfunding a massive bet on “musk will not be assassinated in the next year”, it would give people a crazy amount of incentive to take the bet and then do something productive about it.
I’m also not a huge fan of the art posts, but going by the vote counts on them other people seem to enjoy them so imo they should be welcome here. Not to mention @LadyButterfly@piefed.blahaj.zone posts a lot of other really great content and is generally a really positive force for this comm (and the fediverse as a whole imo) so it’s not like she’s flooding this comm with only art-themed posts or anything.
At the end of the day this is a community space, and the community seems to approve of these posts - so if they’re not meant for you and I specifically, I think that’s okay.
I use jellyseer with jellyfin so that my family can make requests for movies/shows thru another netflix-style GUI rather than messaging me constantly about whatever they wanna watch lol. You can set it up with auto approval if you trust them to manage shit, and they can just download stuff on demand without you having to be involved at all. Really great stack if you wanna be less involved in the whole process
Seems like a good place to say thank you to all the mods and admins for pruning the worst of the thorns off the fediverse so we can all have a good experience here
IMO palworld just took the basic “capture and train monsters” mechanic pokemon is popular for and brought it to a level nintendo would never have the guts to go. Calling it a shameless ripoff is giving nintendo too much credit
